Innerscapes
〈Innerscapes〉 approaches brainwaves not as objects of analysis, but as living movements that continuously change and exist in their own right. Brain activity reflects both inner states and bodily sensations, and its shifting flow offers the viewer a mirror-like experience of self-recognition. In the work, brainwaves are visualized as landscapes that reflect the self, simultaneously occupying the positions of interior and exterior, subject and object. These visualized brainwaves are combined with sound and returned to the viewer’s senses, where the experience once again influences their brain activity. Through this process, the work creates a nonlinear cycle moving continuously between perception and sensation, image and body.
